National HR Conference 2011

The national HR conference was held on 24^th September, 2011 at LSIM, Dwarka on the theme “Managing Human Resources in the Changing Business scenario”. The inaugural session was presided over by Mr. Arun Balakrishnan, former CMD, HPCL and Dr. Anil Shastri, board of governors, LBSIM. The conference saw a massive turnout both among speakers and delegates. Some of the prominent speakers were Mr. T Arumugam, GM-HR, Tamilnadu Petroproducts  Ltd, Ms. Vandana Mehra, ,GM, Talent Acquisition, PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd. And Mr. Salil Bhandari, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. All the speakers emphasised on the role of HR in an organization in these changing times. In this era of globalization, of budding MNC culture, people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures come together and work. Here, it becomes all the more important to develop a coherent working environment among the people. For this, the onus lies with the HR manager.  All the learned speakers talked about the strategic role of HR managers, the challenges they face and the techniques to overcome those challenges.
